I’ve written this article more as background for anyone who may be interested in considering this business journey. It’s not a full diary representation of how we achieved or failed but simply a reflection of the past 5 years of a partnership and 3 years as an owner and as it is not a complete story it will probably raise more questions than deliver answers.

Routine implant maintenance is necessary to maintain peri-implant health and to ensure the long-term success of the implant; however, implants are susceptible to both peri-implantitis and implant failure. Peri-implantitis is an inflammatory reaction in the hard and soft tissues, with loss of surrounding supporting bone.

Perioscopy Therapy

Perioscopy is considered after traditional SRP has been completed. Attempting to use the dental endoscope during initial SRP is difficult and impractical. SRP alone and improved patient oral hygiene can resolve many periodontal lesions and are more quickly accomplished than perioscopy.
