Saturday 23rd January 2010
The format of the 2010 meeting is going to be similar to 2009 in that this is primarily a social function with CPD on subjects relevant in our practice. We will be starting a little earlier but not too early so that you can all get there.
The Dinner will be in The Swan Hotel with an excellent 3 course meal.
We have secured rooms at a cost of £87.50 for double/twin (sharing will keep cost down) book directly with The Swan Hotel quoting (Hygienist.co.uk), there are singles available at a discounted rate as well.
The cost should be about £70 inclusive of dinner (less if I can), I should be confirming all very soon so keep a look out. I will send out full details.

Totally agree, well worth the money . I am flying in from N Ireland so that tells you how good it is!

Another thing to remember is that we are not subsidised by members fees. That said if we were to actually make anything from these meetings it goes back into services for the members or gets donated to student hygienists/therapists.

quote: steelers wrote: im very interested in attending the meet - but not the dinner it's a lot of money to pay for the lectures What the others said. There's too many meetings where you can turn up and go without speaking to anyone or discussing stuff. It's an insular profession enough already!
Book up and come - you'll love it!! Don't eat dinner if you don't want it but don't miss the antics!!??!! Oh, and the chats re: dentistry....at first! There! That's sold it!!

Steelers, I think you're missing the point slightly, we are an online community and some of us have beenn using the site for 4-5 years. The meeting is deffo more of a social gathering with a discussion forum/CPD element rather than the usual type meeting. We have spent many hours getting to know one another over the years and the original idea was to put faces to names and from there it flourished into the wonderful meeting last year. I promise if you come along you wont be disappointed!!!!

Garden Street, first opening on the left. There is a tab at the base of the chain posts and they lower into the tarmac. Please raise them again afterwards though.
What time does it start by the way?

Thanks for the offer. Have now decided to come by train as it is on our line direct from Euston. Think it starts at 11am. Did you mean the meeting or the drinking?
